Students Flying with Precision and Purpose Eowyn Gonzalez Aguliar “My favorite part of being a student at Bladen Early College is having the opportunity to take college classes while I am still in high school. I like learning new things and discovering different opportunities for my future. I did not always want to learn how to weld. It was something new that I became interested in, and I decided to give it a try. I wanted to challenge myself and learn something different. I chose welding because I wanted to learn a hands-on skill and challenge myself. Learning how to weld makes me feel proud and motivated. Sometimes it can be challenging, but I enjoy seeing myself improve. It also makes me feel like I am proving to myself that I can learn and succeed in something that is not traditionally seen as a career for women. My career goal is to build a successful career and become financially independent. I want to continue developing my welding skills and explore the opportunities this career can give me. I want to be an example to other young women. I want to show that being a woman does not define what you can or cannot do.
