🧡 WEAR ORANGE WEDNESDAY! 🧡

This Wednesday, October 21, join Bladen County Schools in celebrating Unity Day by wearing orange to show your support for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

Unity Day reminds us that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and included. Together, we can stand against bullying and help create school communities where every student knows they belong.

🧡 Wear orange.
🧡 Stand together.
🧡 Choose kindness.

We will not have a driver for Bus 60 on Thursday, October 14th. We know this is inconvenient for families but we are working diligently to get someone in place for this route as soon as possible.

There will be a temporary change to the schedule for Bus 60 starting
Monday, October 12th, 2026. Bus 60 will only operate on Thursday and Friday mornings and afternoons while we work to secure another bus driver. We are actively searching for a driver so that we can return to our regular transportation schedule as soon as possible.

We understand that this change may create an inconvenience for families, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through this staffing situation. Please make arrangements to transport your child to and from school Monday through Wednesday until we are able to get another driver in place.

Our goal is to restore regular Bus 60 service as quickly as possible. We will keep families informed as soon as we have an update regarding the availability of a new driver and the return to the normal bus schedule.

Thank you for your continued support, understanding, and cooperation. We greatly appreciate your partnership as we work to ensure our students have reliable transportation.

Monday and Tuesday this week is Fall Break for Bladen Community College. Students are still expected to attend their High School classes as scheduled. College classes will resume on Wednesday.

Students Flying with Precision and Purpose Eowyn Gonzalez Aguliar “My favorite part of being a student at Bladen Early College is having the opportunity to take college classes while I am still in high school. I like learning new things and discovering different opportunities for my future. I did not always want to learn how to weld. It was something new that I became interested in, and I decided to give it a try. I wanted to challenge myself and learn something different. I chose welding because I wanted to learn a hands-on skill and challenge myself. Learning how to weld makes me feel proud and motivated. Sometimes it can be challenging, but I enjoy seeing myself improve. It also makes me feel like I am proving to myself that I can learn and succeed in something that is not traditionally seen as a career for women. My career goal is to build a successful career and become financially independent. I want to continue developing my welding skills and explore the opportunities this career can give me. I want to be an example to other young women. I want to show that being a woman does not define what you can or cannot do. Women can work hard, learn new skills, and succeed in any career they choose.” - Eowyn Gonzalez Aguliar
